Here at Circle Line, we take pride in the unique personalities of the tour guides on our six sightseeing vessels. Each guide brings his own individual perspective and experience to the table, and then uses these elements to paint a vibrant picture of New York City. Before you come join us on one of our sightseeing cruises, we would like you to become familiar with our tour guides, and to understand what makes them so special!
Our next tour guide is one of the finest story-tellers in all of New York City, Chris Mason! Chris was born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, where he still resides today. He was educated at William McKinnely Jr. High School and Manhattan College, where he majored in acting. Little did he know his passion for acting would one day be put to use aboard Circle Line Sightseeing tours!
Chris has been a part of the Circle Line family since 1985.He was first inspired to become a tour guide by his father, John Mason, who has been a Circle Line Guide for 50 years! Chris’s favorite part of the 3-hour full-island tour is passing Yankee Stadium. He’s a huge Yankee fan and goes to as many games as he possibly can.
Chris really enjoys talking about are the vital statistics of Manhattan Island itself! Our guests always ask him for directions to different hot-spots in New York, and Chris is more than happy to help them find their way. He brings his own native New Yorker style of storytelling to the plate, and will always be a favorite with our Circle Line guests.

“New Yorkers understand that tourism is an essential part of the economy of the city. I wouldn’t say that we don’t reach out to people, but New Yorkers are multi-taskers.
